Some patients may also be able to receive help with their dental charges if they, or their partner, is named on an HC3 NHS charges certificate. If you feel you are exempt from NHS charges because you hold any of the above certificates please bring a copy as proof.

Adults who do not fall into any of the above categories will need to pay for their treatment at fixed prices pre-determined by the NHS.

What treatments are only available privately?

Bleaching, white fillings, and white crowns on molar teeth are unavailable on the NHS. Most cosmetic treatment is only available privately. Our aim is to deliver high quality private care at realistic prices. Estimates will always be provided beforehand.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring a full list of any medication you take.

Please bring any exemption certificates/proof for NHS appointments.

Do you accept dental insurance?

Yes, we are able to see patients with most types of dental insurance. Typically, patients pay at the practice in full and then submit their receipt(s) and treatment plans — which we provide — to be reimbursed by their insurance company.

Do you offer emergency appointments?

Yes, if you are in pain or have had a dental injury, call us as early as possible and we will do our best to see you the same day.

See our emergencies page for more information.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice by calling us.

Private appointments missed or cancelled late may incur a fee based on the time booked.

Patients who miss or cancel more than two NHS appointments at short notice may not be offered further NHS treatment.

See our cancellation policy for more information.

Do you treat nervous patients?

Anxious and nervous patients are welcome
at Elite Dental Care. We are understanding and sympathetic towards such people, and
endeavour to make every dental visit as
comfortable as possible. We are guided by a pre-determined patient signal to stop at any time during a dental procedure.

Do you see children?

Yes, we welcome children of all ages and aim to make their visits positive and stress-free.
