Payment Information

NHS Treatment Fees

NHS Dental Charges

NHS Charges are paid at the start of a course of treatment. These charges are set by the Government and increase on an annual basis. For the most up-to-date information, please visit the NHS Dental Charges page.

Band 1	£27.40
Band 2	£75.30
Band 3	£326.70

What's included in each band?

Band 1 (£27.40) includes examinations, diagnosis, advice, X-rays, scale and polish if clinically needed, and preventative care.

Band 2 (£75.30) includes all Band 1 treatments, plus fillings, root canal treatment, and extractions.

Band 3 (£326.70) includes all Band 1 and Band 2 treatments, plus crowns, dentures, bridges, and other laboratory work.

NHS Exemptions

Some patients are exempt from paying NHS dental charges. These include:

Patients under 18 years old
Patients aged 18 years old and in full time education
Pregnant women
Mothers with children under 1 year of age
Patients who have, or whose partner is named on a current HC2 NHS charges certificate
Patients who have a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate
Patients who receive or whose partners receive Pension Credit guarantee credit
Patients who receive or whose partners receive Income Support
Patients who receive or whose partner receive Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance

Some patients may also be able to receive help with their dental charges if they, or their partner, is named on an HC3 NHS charges certificate.

Important: If you feel you are exempt from NHS charges because you hold any of the above certificates, please bring a copy as proof.
